With a smile on my face
I look you in the eyes
But it’s the shape of my heart that you see

And in your eyes I have no disguise.
Walls that touch the heavens
Come crashing down at the very mention of your name
I stand here looking at you
Knowing that walls, distance even nothingness
Will always be in vain

Your heart and how you speak
And how you make mine skip a beat

Meet me in the sky

My mind is empty
As lay here with the night’s darkness
Covering me like a blanket,
I know you are under a tree of lights
As I lay under a canvas that resembles the night
I reach out but I am blinded by the stars
Tonight the distance seems double as far
Even if I drive my car I’d get nowhere
So I lie here shooting signals across the sky
Hoping you’ll hear my heart

Meet me in the sky
take my hands
Dance with me from star to star,
I’m sorry if my feet don’t move like grace
It’s just that I can’t do much but breathe when I look at your face

We could lay here dreaming
But soon the sun will wash the sky
And steal the stars from the night
I am one heartbeat but I feel two
Say anything
Say it’s true
I want you to know ill never ask for anyone but you

The morning at night

The morning waits at her door
While paintings and canvas lay on her bedroom floor
Today the sky has been painted just for you
With sun, whites and perfect blue
Bring me closer to you
As your face mirrors perfect blue

At night
Stars hold there breathe
When clouds are near
They burn my eyes for a second only to disappear
The moon hides itself in an ocean of clouds
If I pray loud
Pieces shine through,
And that’s how I know this is you
I am satisfied
I know this
I’ve seen this place
But only in her face

Time

Hold your breathe
And Hide my heart
If time sees us together
Captivated eyes and long conversations
Will turn to sudden goodbyes
I plead with time to forget your face in my eyes
It’s a foolish endeavor
Time is a race I only win when you are away
It ticks faster than the words that fall from our lips
Could captivated eyes ever cheat time?
Make a moment last forever as if we were apart
I plead with time to let me win when we are together
I know that that moment would mean forever
I guess I must just be satisfied
And know that loving you means
That this life will be over before I can say your name
Oh how hours of conversation only lead to longer goodbyes
And now I am left wondering if time isn’t really the devil in disguise

My world is filled with tears
As I swim round in all my fears
The ones of loneliness and nothingness
